The Star Trek: Axanar crew is proud to announce that Tony Todd will be playing Admiral Ramirez in our short film, Prelude to Axanar.  Tony is best known to Star Trek fans as “Kurn”, Worf’s brother, or as older Jake Sisko in the DS9 epsiode “The Visitor”.
“Tony brings serious gravitas to Axanar.” said Executive Producer Alec Peters. “Tony’s character of Admiral Ramirez is the head of Starfleet and I wanted someone who you could believe was leading Starfleet in a war. I was tired of the same old stereotype of what a Starfleet admiral was and wanted someone who when he stood next to Garth, you could believe that Garth looked up to and respected Ramirez without question.”
Tony will be playing Admiral Ramirez in the upcoming “Prelude to Axanar” short film that shoots the first week of May.
He’s one of those actors whose voice is instantly recognisable., especially to trekies..
Great addition to the cast. I only hope they don’t mess things up and spoil the show.
I must admit I didn’t watch “enterprise” and I’m not too impressed with the films after “Generations”.
It seemed to me rthey were simply trying to keep the franchise going, instead of entertaining the troops.
So as they say in one franchises that should have been stopped at No1.
