Captain’s Log – November 30th, 2017

Well, I finally got to review Paul’s work on the script for The Four Years War Episodes IV & V.  It is great working with Paul, as he really gets what makes stories and characters great.  Paul introduced a new element for the Axanar script, which I loved and he has been adding bits here and there for the characters.  We are really close to a locked script for the episodes and we have already begun to discuss budgeting and when we shoot.

We have also discussed the idea of a one day Axa-con in conjunction with our first day of shooting in Atlanta.  Since we will have actors here, we think that would be a fun event.  More on this to come.

Going through the perks now too, ordering the patches we don’t have and working on what we can. We should start shipping some more items out Q1.  Of course so many of you are owed Blu-rays and DVDs and we won’t have that till we are finished with Axanar.

Meanwhile, OWC Studios is chugging along and we had the two heads of the Gwinnett County video production curriculum for secondary schools in.  They love the idea of using our studio for students to make their own films.  There are 28 high schools in Gwinnett so a lot of students could benefit from our studio.

So all is good and we are moving forward.

Excellent news Alec. The students would profit greatly from being able to use the studios and learn about Sci-Fi to boot.

Pleased that things are really on the move for you now. Exciting days ahead. Glad you’ve persevered. The quality of the taster for Axanar was exceptional. Really looking forward to seeing the finished film.

Thanks for the update! It’s great to see that in spite of all the crap that’s been going on, you folks are able to do the creative work that attracted us supporters to Axanar in the beginning. I really appreciate all the good communication you have been providing because that makes us supporters feel a genuine partnership with you in creating the upcoming videos. I remain eager to see them!

Good to hear. Any report to make on the old studio. Is it active and any schedule issues for utilization. Does the new owner ask you for any help in getting the place into the biz out there?

    • Alec Peters says:

I havent had an update in two months, but thanks for reminding me to check in! We will be talking soon about our L.A. shoot, so a good time to reconnect with Dannny the landlord.

This is Axanar. NEVER say ‘locked script”. 😉
