The Axanar First Day of Production Shoot Team!

All morning was spent answering emails.   Which was great, because I got my email inbox under 40 for the first time in a month.  There is just SO much work to do, and I am trying to get more great people to take the load off of me. Then it was off to The studio where Diana is working her butt off shipping the Soundtrack CDs. You guys are going to love them!

Meanwhile, Rob was editing the footage from Saturday’s shoot and pulled an all-nighter.  That is the dedication this guy brings.  He gets that making a movie is a ton of work, and he is willing to do the work.  I love working with Rob.

Most importantly, Rob got the last item Josh, our Blu-ray/DVD compiler, needed, so we hope to have that off to the printer in the next couple days.

And then there is the bridge….

Bridge 6.15.15.3

Bridge 6.15.15.2

Bridge 6.15.15.1

Thanks for your support!

Alec

    Hi Alec,

Obviously the bridge is key and it is going to look phenomenal, but I was curious as to what other parts of the ship you will be able to showoff in the movie (either through actual sets and/or visual effects)?

  • Matt says:

    Hi Alec.

I sat and watched “Whom God’s Destroy” for the first time in many a year, and I’m curious about your take on Garth’s god complex and if we will see any of this begin to surface at the end of “Axanar”?

    • Brian says:

I was wondering that too, especially since in Prelude to Axanar Garth is pretty modest about it all. Alec and crew seem to have an firm grasp on big picture continuity so I’m sure we’re not bringing anything to their attention they haven’t already thought through. Pretty interesting though to see where that character ends up versus where he came from.

  • John says:

OK people just look at the number of talent it takes to shoot just one day and two actors. NOW you see how important Union workers and there know how is to such a collaborative art form such as film!!!!! GO ROB BERNETT!!!! And that’s why the money we give is so very important!!!

  • John Willis says:

Throughout history.. God Complex’s usually arise from isolation.. and an unfortunate accident.. a vulnerable state of mind.. in which we entertain an idea.. that in healthier, more rational moments.. we would never ever consider or take seriously. It’s when the gaurd is down.. like lying in a hospital bed for the first time.. being imprisioned unjustly or accidentally under new or abnormal cultural norms.. In a way you could consider it an Evolutionary “Survival Instinct” rather than a vulnerability..

When faced with something completly askew from our experience we have to “play with ideas” try to get “Creative” and invent new frameworks of thinking.. new “norms”.. in a fevered state.. or a state of mental illness.. it would seem completely understandable how one mental state could lead to another.. and another.. until your over the edge.. or “do something” that violates personal principals “so much..” they think there is no turning back.. this is their new reality.. their new sanity.. it can progress to an “entitlement”.. a “right”.. a manefest “destiny”.. aka.. God Complex

  • Duane says:

I would love to see an Axanar trilogy with Garth going bonkers at the end of the 3rd film.

  • Eric says:

“Garth going bonkers….” would mean that they would need to include the accident that left him badly injured. I don’t think that happened in the Battle of Axanar.

  • Danny says:

This is going to be an incredible piece of Trek history. I just feel it
