Today was more work by Dean and Dana, who were joined by Jess Hobby, another stalwart volunteer. Dana and Jess tackled the upper consoles and painting the pilot, tactical and Fleet Ops consoles as well as the Captains chair.

Dean is now off to Dragon Con, and we are so close to this being fully painted. The major pieces that remain are carpeting, getting the plexi panels for all lower consoles, and installing the electronics for the upper consoles.

I am so excited to see the finished product. I only wish it was a tv series or full plagued movie, even a mini series. Excellent work.
This is so cool. Wondering how the control surfaces will go on. The concept art shows tactile surfaces, knobs, switches. Curious about the controls for the Captain’s chair. Looking at the original series, some of the controls looked a little awkward. The intercom for instance was practically by the user’s elbow.
