Meanwhile, over at Ares Studios….
From USS Ares Bridge Construction Guru and Art Director Dana Wagner:
Here’s some pix I took before leaving the studio yesterday. I thought you’d like to see the progress that’s being made.
Most of the console panels now have 2-4 coats of paint on the edges, which is eliminating the light bleed. Theres still a bit work left to do on those. Some of the consoles still need work on the openings for a perfect fit, but we’re getting close.
The helm station is completely routed and panels are fitted! Still need to work out the backlighting.
I’ve resized the upper monitor graphics so they now fit properly on the screens, and added the new color palette elements, as with the eye-level displays – they are all still placeholder, but they look much nicer while we continue to develop final art.
Alexander and I are almost finished with the color palette and design element work, and I’m close to having templates ready so the full build out of eye-level graphics can commence.
James came by yesterday for a bit, and took stock of what’s left to do with hooking up the last of the Pi’s, and planning for installing monitors in the forward stations.
The Ares has never looked better than she does today! I hope you all enjoy the view!

Looks fantastic! Can’t wait to see it in the movies! 😀
Awesome work, as always! Thank you for all you do!
It looks so nice, WOW!
These are amazing!
Incredible work, truly inspiring. With sets like these, it’ll be so, so, so real for the actors!
Absolutely brilliant look and feel!
Excelsior!
Brilliant work, Dana!
The bridge looks great but there is one thing missing. The alert beacon that’s normally positioned in the center on top of the helm console which was present on both Pike’s and Kirk’s ENTERPRISE.
Wow, that looks fantastic!! Love the new panels for the helm/navigation.
