
Alec Peters
The creator of the Axanar project, Alec is known as one of Star Trek’s biggest fans, and one who honors the canon of the beloved franchise through his visionary film “Prelude to Axanar”, and its two upcoming sequels “The Gathering Storm” and “Crucible”.
Alec is the epitome of someone who discovers their calling and succeeds in pursuing it. After graduating from the UNC School of Law in 1987, Alec coached an NCAA Championship volleyball team at USC and with the US National team.  He has started five companies earning him an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2003. In 2008 he created Propworx, a Hollywood memorabilia auction house serving the biggest studios. He held the Battlestar Galactica Prop Auctions, considered by many the finest prop & costume auctions ever, followed by studio sanctioned auctions for Stargate, Star Trek, Iron Man I & II and the Kevin Smith auction.
After playing Garth of Izar in the Star Trek fan film series “Star Trek: New Voyages”, Alec decided to bring the story of this epic character to life.
“Prelude to Axanar” has won 46 film festival awards around the world and Alec is not only the creator, but writer, producer and actor, portraying legendary Starfleet Captain Garth of Izar. With two more episodes of “The Four Years War” in post-production, “Axanar” will explore the legend of the man who Captain Kirk considered his personal hero, and the famous Battle of Axanar

Mark Edward Lewis
Mark Edward Lewis is an award-winning director, composer, and post-production supervisor whose career spans film, television, and themed entertainment. As the Audio and Visual Effects Supervisor for the worldwide hit *Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N.*, Mark helped bring the Marvel Cinematic Universe to life for audiences across the globe. He served as director for *Blade of Honor*, the final screen appearance of sci-fi icon Richard Hatch.
As a composer, Mark’s work includes scoring for DreamWorks Animation’s acclaimed *How to Train Your Dragon: Race to the Edge* (Seasons 5 & 6), blending cinematic orchestration with contemporary storytelling. His extensive career also includes producing #1 records in Korea and conducting the London Philharmonic.
Recognized as one of the industry’s foremost authorities on audio post-production, Mark is the creator of *Cinema Sound*, the world’s most comprehensive audio education platform for filmmakers. His work as a sound designer, mixer, and educator has influenced projects from major studios to independent features.
A lifelong sci-fi fan and advocate for independent genre filmmaking, Mark brings his passion for epic storytelling and meticulous craftsmanship to Axanar, which he has been a part of since 2013.

Dana Wagner
Dana spent his early life as a musician before taking a job with the American Cancer Society for 20 years.
Dana came to Axanar in 2017 and immediately became an essential part of the Axanar team. Dana has been in charge of the USS Ares bridge set since then, finishing it, upgrading the lighting and technology, and maintaining all of the systems and graphics. For Axanar, Dana has been a critical part of the post-production team, and has taken over all of the green-screen compositing. Dana is a perfectionist and it shows in the finished episodes.

Alexander Richardson
Alexander Richardson, known as Sandy to his friends, has been dabbling in graphic design since 2001, and is a life-long Star Trek fan, having grown up on Star Trek: The Next Generation.
In 2015 he was invited by Alec Peters to join the Axanar team. His graphic skills have been used all over the Axanar project. He is primarily responsible for the design of the Ares bridge interface panels and has penned the USS Ares blueprints and the upcoming USS Geronimo blueprints. He is also primarily responsible for all YouTube channel and social media graphics.
Favorite Trek property: TNG.
You can often find him manning a props table at local conventions in Scotland.

Tobias Richter
Tobias Richter was born in 1967 in the town of Darmstadt, Germany. After school he studied computer science at the technical university Darmstadt, where he graduated 1992. After a move in the beautiful town of cologne, he continued his freelance work which eventually led the foundation of his own graphics studio, The Light Works, which today develops a wide range of graphics for computer games, industrial visualizations, and visual effects for film and television.
Notable productions with the contributions of The Light Works include games such as the Star Wars: Rogue Leader series, the Sacred, Patrician, and X series’, Lair and many more. He has also worked on several music videos, visualizations for Opel and ESA, visual effects for Virus Undead, Star Trek Phase 2, Real Buddy, The Dark Eye, Ray Bradbury’s Kaleidoscope, and Tobias is known for regularly contributing to the Star Trek: Ships of the Line calendar.

Lee Quessenberry
As Axanar.com’s webmaster, Lee supports the fan film community by enhancing the site’s functionality and user experience with modern web technologies. Lee is responsible for the Axanar website as well as rebuilding the Axanar Donor Site.
A Senior Full Stack Developer with over 15 years of experience specializing in migrations and e-commerce solutions. Lee specializes in open source software developer of which he has been an advocate for 16+ years. Lee has presented at industry events, mentored developers, and driven engagement for Axanar. His leadership blends technical expertise with a passion for innovation, making him a key figure in both the tech and fan film spaces.

Bing Bailey
Bing Bailey is an award winning filmmaker who served as digital colorist and post production consultant on Prelude to Axanar. His creativity and craftsmanship has been noted by critics from The Irish Times to Aint it Cool News. Whether part of a creative team or directing original material, he has produced great work on budget and without sacrificing quality.
In addition to his work on Axanar, Bing has written, produced, and directed two feature films (including “Portrait of a Zombie/About a Zombie” (US Title), several short films, TV pilots and music videos in Europe, Canada and the United States.
Bing’s fondness for Star Trek stems from the series’ ingenuity and its dedication to social justice.
