Axanar V Paul Jenkins Trial Day 7

Today was day 7 of the trial between Alec Peters/Axanar Productions and Paul Jenkins/Meta Studios. Now, before I go into what happened today, let me respond to the “haters” in Axamonitor land (a fantasy world where they think they are some important cabal of “do gooders” whose main function in life is to stalk and harass anyone who works with or is friends with Alec Peters). The reason I did not post anything on Friday was very simple, real world things with my wife take precedence over blogging about a trial in Georgia. But since you asked…..Carlos Pedrazza, came out of his cave and testified more of his utter and complete bullcrap.

Now remember, the judge limited the scope of Paul’s defamation claim to 2 SPECIFIC comments (and ONLY those 2 comments). Carlos doesn’t have any first hand knowledge of anything that occurred on those 2 dates, so his testimony was simply to get video for the stupid FOR PROFIT documentary that Paul is producing, nothing else. Dave Messer, Alec’s attorney, didn’t even bother to cross examine Carlos because his testimony was totally irrelevant.

Also yesterday and continuing today, Paul took the stand in his own defense, he spent the last two days complaining that he is the “victim” in this case, and seeing how much poo he can get to stick on the walls. He talked about his “sick wife”, well if she is sick, why is she in the courtroom every day instead of being home resting?  He wanted to talk about merchandising, anything except what the judge ordered was relevant. In the end Alec’s attorney objected 10 times, and every objection was sustained (meaning the BS that Paul’s attorney tried to get into the record was denied.)

Also Paul’s attorney told the court that Paul CURRENTLY owes him $293,990.28, adding that figure to the $305,000 he is being sued for in Cobb County, Paul currently owes 2 firms just short of $600,000 dollars. that figure does not include the other 4 lawyers who have worked on the case at various points since 2020.

At the end of the day, Paul’s attorney filed a motion to have the amended pre-trial order overturned, after the Judge rules on that, it is expected that Alec’s attorney will ask for a directed verdict from the Judge on Paul’s counterclaims. If as expected, the Judge rules against Paul on all 3 counts, closing arguments will be given and then Jury instructions will be agreed to and and the only thing the Jury will have to render a verdict on is Alec’s Breech of Contract Claim.
