Day 3 of the Trial and Alec Peters continued to be cross examined by Paul’s Attorney, and it went as well as can be expected……IF YOU ARE THE PLAINTIFF in the case (in other words, LOUSY for Paul.
The Judge once again explained to Paul’s Lawyer that no damages will be awarded because Paul was not harmed in a professional manner because Star Trek Fan Films are considered to be a “hobby” by the court.
The judge also asked for examples of what the defense considered to be “defamation”, and the examples the Defense gave are not even in the same ballpark as the legal definition of defamation.
Also, because of the way Paul’s Lawyer is conducting the cross examination, Alec has been able to speak at length about Paul’s numerous misdeeds, including
1) Paul refusing to take a no-money changes hands settlement
2) Paul pursuing the lawsuit for the purpose of creating a for-profit documentary
3) Paul taking part in the bullying and harassment of Alec and Crysstal Hubbard and being part of Shawn O’Halloran’s assault and subsequent stalking conviction.
4) Paul’s fraud in not signing the legal documents he agreed to sign.
5) Paul’s producer Scott Conley failing to notify the producer (Alec) that they lost footage.
And that was just the start. All of these things are damaging to Paul’s case and they all came in on cross examination.
At one point, a Juror was so frustrated having to listen to Paul’s attorney argue with the judge, that they threw down their notepad before being escorted out of the courtroom with the rest of the jury so the judge could hear arguments from Paul’s attorney. On the stand Alec has repeatedly been able to talk about how Paul wants to make money off the trial, and how Axanar Productions offered multiple settlement offers, that wouldn’t have cost any money. Alec even got to talk about Axanar Cat Rescue, at length, while being questioned.
Also because they(Paul) are videotaping Alec’s Testimony, this actually allows Alec’s Lawyer to request the UNEDITED COPY of this footage, to ensure that Paul, doesn’t cut it up to make a mockery of the trial.
