On Monday, September 22nd, 2025, the lawsuit involving Alec Peters/Axanar Productions and Paul Jenkins/Meta Studios FINALLY goes to trial.

This case has been delayed due to a number of issues, mostly Paul’s attempts to not to have to go to trial, and his inability to pay for and keep his legal council. Paul has changed lawyers a total of 6 times since the lawsuit has been filed in 2020. There have been 17 LOA (Leave of absences) and 2 notices of “withdrawal of council” from the defendants side of the case. Having grown up with a father who was a civil lawyer, that is a remarkable number of filings, to basically delay the case.  The Judge in the case was CORRECT to set a trial date of 9/22/25, to not let the defense DRAG this case into year 6.

At the pre-trial hearing last month, Paul Jenkins latest attorney, asked for a ONE YEAR extension of the lawsuit, claiming there was so much work that had to be done for him to catch up, and Paul Jenkins was broke and couldn’t afford a trial.

Paul has lied to everyone who would listen that Alec is delaying the trial, but it is Paul and his attorneys who have asked for every one of the three continuances and delayed this trial for years. The first continuance was so Paul could help Shawn O’Halloran attempt to fight the stalking claim and avoid the protective order issued against him in 2021.

Plus Paul’s attorneys have filed no less than 6 motions, all aimed at delaying the trial, all of which have failed, giving Paul and his attorneys an 0-6 record against this judge (a Georgia legend who doesn’t broach lawyers who waste his time).

And it should be noted that Paul’s first attorney, Andrew Craine, and his firm, Thomas Horstmeyer, are suing Paul for $300,000 in unpaid legal fees. So Paul can clearly not afford to go to trial as his third attorney has correctly claimed.

Now, any normal individual, when faced with being broke like Paul claims he is, wouldn’t do what Paul did in purposely causing a lawsuit by filing a fraudulent copyright.  But Jenkins was more interested in getting even with Alec Peters, the Axanar creator and producer, who fired Paul for unprofessional conduct and inappropriate behavior towards women.

On August 19, 2025, Judge Smith issued his FINAL Consolidated Pre Trial Order, Some of the Key parts are as follows:

ALL DISCOVERY IS COMPLETED

The Defendants Request to know the members of the “Axanar Trollhunters Group and Messages have been crossed out by the Judge.

Paul and his attorneys have listed the following people as possible witnesses:Scott Conley, Tiana Armstrong, Robert Burnett, Michael Bawden, Shawn O’Halloran, Dean Newbury, Chris Mills, CBS Attorney David Grossman, CBS Licensing John Van Citters, Jeremy Stieglitz, Sarah Boyd, Carlos Pedraza, Scarlett Lewis, Bill Hunt, Cathy Hutzel, Sophia Crawford, Jason Debord, Jenna Kanell, Kevin Kane, Victoria Fox, Jared Hunt, Christian Gosslett, and any other witnesses needed.

Looking at this list, the ONLY Direct witnesses are Scott Conley, Sarah Boyd, Jenna Kanell. the rest of them are on the list to muddy the waters. Tiana Armstrong settled a lawsuit with Alec Peters a few years ago, so if she is called, she will be questioned about that settlement. Dean Newbury will be questioned about the false report filed with the Georgia Secretary of State, and the fact that he hid his friendship with the Attorney in the SOS office that was thrown off the case by her superiors for not disclosing that conflict of interest. Shawn O’Halloran will be questioned about the protective order that was granted against him and the fact that a Georgia Judge found he violated Georgia statutes for stalking and Harassment.

All told this case is only the first of Paul’s problems, his many lawyers have been filing Delay after Delay in his case in Cobb County. he has delayed that case for more than a year. I expect that case to go to trial next year, as I am sure that judge is also getting tired of Paul’s delays.

Alec wanted Paul to just go away.  Paul wanted a fight.  Well, now on the verge of bankruptcy, Paul thinks he can turn this trial into a circus and use it to attack Alec.  He has some big surprises waiting for him Monday.
