JG Hertzler will be performing "The Night Before Christmas", originally published by Clement Clark Moore in 1837 as "Account of a Visit from St. Nicholas." in a short film being produced by Alec Peters and the team behind "Axanar" at Ares Studios Dec. 14-15th, 2024. The idea was sent to Alec by Joe Hix, an Axanar fan, and the team immediately jumped at it, with Axanar Executive Producer Dave Lanyon jumping on board to cover JG Hertzler's fee. JG Hertzler, known to millions of Star Trek fans as General Martok from Star Trek Deep Space Nine, will be performing the poem as St. Nick himself, and the team that produces Axanar, including Director of Photography Geoff Fagien, Gaffer Jim Ross and Post Production Supervisor Mark Edward Lewis will all be back for this short film. Alec Peters will be directing and the USS Ares bridge set will be decorated for Christmas including a Yule Log burning on the viewscreen! AXANAR CHRISTMAS PARTY As part of the film shoot, the team is opening up Ares Studios for a Christmas party from 3-6 on Saturday, December 14th. Tickets are only $35 which include photos with JG and the Atlanta based Axanar cast, gingerbread cookies and egg nog (BYOB!). Each ticket entitles you to one free JG Hertzler autograph as well! You can buy your tickets on the Axanar website's new store! Team Axanar.
