AXANAR DONOR FULFILLMENT UPDATE - APRIL 18, 2015

Axanar's Director of Fulfillment, Diana Kingsbury, brings us all an update on the fulfillment of perks for both the Prelude to Axanar fundraiser -- which is very close to being completed -- and the first feature fundraiser.

Update from Fulfillment HQ: “Prelude to Axanar” Donors:

I’m pleased to announce some great news on the Fulfillment front… we’re getting VERY close to being able to fulfill the last of the “Prelude to Axanar” Kickstarter perks!

After some expected and unexpected holdups—interruptions ranging from the need for many of us to work around paid jobs, deal with family issues, and fit in other commitments, plus the inherent difficulties involved with timing and communications when professionals from around the world collaborate on a complex project—we can finally say that all jobs are now pretty much in the can.

The digital download of “Prelude to Axanar”, in stunning HD resolution, is just about ready to roll. The gorgeous illustrated script should be uploaded any day, now. (Both of these projects involved UNBELIEVABLE amounts of work—“blood, sweat, and tears” wouldn’t be an understatement, here—but each will be well-worth all of our work, and all of your patience. :))

In addition, the soundtrack CD for “Prelude to Axanar” (brilliantly scored by Alex Bornstein) and the final cut for the Special Edition “Prelude to Axanar” DVD and Blu-ray (complete with special features available nowhere else) are heading off to the printers. What this means, of course, is that once we receive the disks, we can work on getting them—and the rest of the perks—sent out!

(As promised earlier, I will be shipping out the international packages—which we’ve held off shipping until they were complete—from the original Kickstarter FIRST. After those are all on their way, the CDs and DVDs/Blu-rays owed to the stateside original KS donors will then ship. Lastly, the perks kits for everyone who purchased a retroactive “Prelude to Axanar” donor package, either through the Donor Store or via Paypal donations, will ship out.)

You guys are gonna LOVE this stuff. :)

Update from Fulfillment HQ: “Axanar” Donors:

As we’ve been finding out every day since the original project began, every step in the process of making an independent, studio-quality production takes both more TIME and more MONEY than anyone ever anticipates. That said, we would ABSOLUTELY rather take more time (and spend more money, within reason) to make a FABULOUS film, than shortchanging any part of it, and having only something mediocre to show at the end.

So, we’ve said all along that we would be holding off on shipping any of the “Axanar” perks until the movie was finished, which means donors to “Axanar” will be waiting until next year to receive their goodies. That doesn’t mean we’re going to be forgetting about our “Axanar” donors in the meantime, though… just the opposite!

In fact, Alec has been pressuring me to send you all your patches from the Axanar Kickstarter since we just got 7 boxes of them in!  And they are spectacular.  So we may well be shipping these patches off starting beginning of May.

As far as keeping you informed, we’ve been rolling out new online content on a daily basis—with even more fun stuff yet to come!—to keep all of you “in-the-know” with exactly where we are in the process… what we’ve been doing, what we’re thinking, new stuff we’re planning, and how the magic happens. Hopefully, you’re enjoying following along as much as we’re enjoying sharing the experience with you. :)
