We then jetted down to the famous Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Bl. to meet with John Atkins, the executive producer of Yorktown: A Time to Heal, the famous, never-released Star Trek fan film starring George Takei and James Shigeta. We did an interview with him, which will be on Podcast # 34.
This is an amazing project started in 1985 and now being finished. Read about its history on the Wikipedia page and then check out the official Yorktown webpage and their Facebook page.
George Takei and cast from Yorktown
John Atkin sits center seat in the new scenes shot for "Yorktown: A Time to Heal".
Acting legend James Shigeta played Admiral Nogura.
At night Diana and I went to the 28th anniversary showing of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe at the famed Egyptian Theater. Pretty cool as there was a Q&A after with the cast and crew.
