Monday, November 12th, 2018 Today is a brief look at one of my passions, Silent Running!  Brian Jones of Destiny Models in the UK is making a full size Silent Running Drone.  Now he did this previously, but they were 2/3 scale.  And I wanted a full size one, so we have been talking about this for the past 5 1/2 years!  Brian said he would get to a full size one eventually, and now he is deep into it! The Silent Running Drones, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, are one of the inspirations for R2D2, and frankly, that is very clear if you watch the movie. They started the cute robot thing. Brian's work is stunning... Brian hard at work: You can follow his previous 2/3 scale builds here: https://www.destinymodels.co.uk/studio_scale_drone Now, back to our regular geeky programming.....
