Our lives are not all Star Trek! We love Star Wars too. And so today was Star Wars Celebration an dthe unveiling of the new trailer. We got to the convention center at 5:00 today to get in line for the 10:00 "The Force Awakens" panel with JJ Abrams and Kathy Kennedy (head of Lucasfilm) and much of the cast.
The Queue! 4 hours in line here.
After 4 hours in the basement in line, we got to the Anaheim Convention Center Arena and the program started (being live simulcast around the world)
JJ Abrams and Kathy Kennedy on stage
The program was your typical fare, but it was great to see the old cast back together (with teh exception of Harrison Ford who is still recovering from his plane crash). Mark Hamil, Peter Mayhew, Carrie Fisher and Anthony Daniels all were there.
And then the trailer, which you have all seen by now. And the payoff...
I have to say, JJ certainly does Star Wars better than he did Star Trek!
Ran into some Star Trek fans who are Axanar fans!
And we got to meet Jeff Carlisle who is doing some concept art work for us and will be stopping by the studio Tuesday!
So an exhausting but fun day was had!
