Geekie Award 5 small

The Geekie Award!

Tonight was the Geekie Awards!  In it’s 3rd year the Geekie Awards have grown to be an important event, and I have to say that the competition for Best Short Film was AMAZING.  I didn’t think we had a chance, but we won!

After we won we were being interviewed and the lady interviewing us said that we were the favorites.  I asked her why she said that and she said that everyone on the Red Carpet was talking about us.

This is certainly a wonderful award and maybe the biggest we have won so far.  And it is important to remember that first and foremost, Prelude to Axanar was so good because of the money donated by all the donors.  So THANK YOU.

Special mention to the amazing Horace Austin, our Film Festival Director and Associate producer who got us in to the event, got us nominated and got us great seats!

Geekie Awards 8

The stage had Bill & Ted, The Doctor and Marty McFly!

Geekie Awards 7

With the amazing Austin brothers, Charles and Horace!

Geekies 6

Diana and me with the award!

A full write up is coming this weekend!

I know everyone is hard into your latest phases of preparation, and we-the-fans are dying to know every aspect of production/plotline/set-design, but most importantly we want everyone involved in the day-to-day work to keep the fun-fun-fun volume turned up to the proverbial eleven!

No matter what, have a blast, keep pinching yourselves at the pending reality of your collective creation, and know how many of us sincerely appreciate e-v-e-r-y single person involved in your cast, crew, and production of this epic venture.

Or, as Billy Crystal said so well, “Have fun storming the castle!”
