Day 2 of Treklanta was the busiest. We got almost $ 500 in donations, which was awesome. And we had our full contingent of Axanerd volunteers! Here is the day in pictures….
Con co-chair and New Voyages make-up artist Brian Holloway watches Prelude as Alec signs an autograph
Star Trek author Keith DeCandido, who wrote “The Klingon Art of War” and Alec
There be Klingons here!
Axanar volunteer Lee Benjamin with John and Bjo Trimble
Reece, Alec and Lee work the booth
Tracy Cocco, who was 9 different aliens on TNG and DS9, at her table. (She REALLY wants to be an alien in Axanar!)
Lee Benjamin with Leslie Owens
Reece, Alec and Steve K Dixon at the booth.
Lee with Scotty!
The dealer room!
And we finished off the day with a big group at My Parent’s Basement again!
Lee, Steve, Reece, Lee and Alec
More tomorrow!
Alec
Wow, that guy portraying Scotty, is the spitting image of James Doohan! I thought my memory was acting up, so had to look up to see if the real Scotty had really passed away. Yep,2005. But that guy could actually play a part in future Star Trek movies. Amazing!
Glad you all are having a good time promoting Axanar. Can’t wait for the BS to be over. And thanks for keeping the blog going,I especially like the Fan Film Friday’s. Nice!
We had such a great time! It was an honor to help out with Axanar promotion again and to meet the many celebrities there. In addition to Leslie Owens, Tracy Cocco, Keith DeCandido, and the Trimbles, Jack Stauffer (BoJay on the original Battlestar Galactica) and Carel Struycken (Lurch on the original Addams Family and Mr Homm, Lwaxana Troi’s assistant on ST TNG) were there. All were very friendly and available for pictures and signatures. DragonCon 2014 was my first ever Sci-Fi Convention, but the smaller shows like Treklanta provide much greater access to the actors and writers of the programs and books that we all love so dearly. Thank you to all involved for a wonderful weekend!
